OMA Showcase 2025 Performance

OMA Showcase Honor Choir (Grades 3-6)

Our students joined over one hundred students, selected from schools around Tucson, to open and close the OMA Showcase 2025 with the following performances:

Stock Market Game
Second Place 2024-25 AZ The Stock Market Game Congratulations! Congratulations to our team of students that came in 2nd place in the statewide Stock Market Game project for the 24-25 school year! Adrienne Hernandez Fox, Raelynn Coronado, Bentley Sierra and Sebastian Grijalva have been invited to the Arizona Council for Economic Education (ACEE) Learning to Save and Invest Student Awards Ceremony at Midwestern University in Glendale on May 10.

The Stock Market Game is a project-based learning educational simulation where students manage a virtual portfolio of stocks, bonds and mutual funds, using a hypothetical $100,000, to learn about investing and financial markets. It's a program that aims to teach about the American economic system and global economy, while also developing skills in areas like math, research, and critical thinking.
 
Egg Hunt
Kids in Easter bunny headbands hunt for colorful Easter eggsOur kindergarten bunnies 🐰 hopped like crazy as they hunted for 26 eggs each. All our bunnies had an eggstraordinarily awesome time!
Airport Visit
Miller students sit in the airport loungeOur February Mustangs of the Month and 3rd grade teacher team got to spend the day with Tucson International Airport police! Thank you, James and our very own Mrs. Clayborne for creating such an amazing experience and partnership.
Movie Night
We would like to thank the many families who attended MOVIE 🎥 NIGHT! It was a full house! We hope you enjoyed the evening with your family and friends. Families watch a movie in the cafeteria
Trip to Camp Cooper
Miller students hike through the desertOur 5th grade Mustangs embarked on a life-changing adventure; they hiked and explored the breathtaking Sonoran Desert. They were inspired by the ever-knowledgeable staff of Camp Cooper guiding them every step of the way.
Miller Mustangs at the Rodeo
Students in colorful cowboy hats stand in front of the La Fiesta de los Vaqueros 100 signMiller Elementary took 80 Rockstar and Mustang of the Month students to the rodeo on Feb. 17! Many students had never been before, and they got to watch the ropers, learned about cowboys and enjoyed the rodeo grounds.
Raytheon Leaders in Education Award
RLEA Finalist Holly Wright Pre-Kindergarten Division Miller Elementary Tucson Unified School DistrictTucson Values Teachers announced the finalists for the ninth annual Raytheon Leaders in Education Award. The award recognizes and rewards Pima County teachers of grades PreK-12 for exceptional commitment to the education of youth, leadership within their communities, and supporting peers in a collaborative teacher workforce. Miller is proud to have one of our talented teachers as a finalist this year. Congratulations to Holly Wright!
